"Harpestry" series

"Harpestry" is the culmination of a year's work (1997) by producers Dawn Atkinson and Diana Stork to create a recording of contemporary harp music by some of the greatest harpists in the world. Most of the artists composed pieces especially for this album, while others arranged and interpreted traditional music from classical and folk traditions.

Harpestry has been on and off the Billboard New Age charts since its release in October 1987 and is a must for anyone who loves or is interested in the harp. It can be found in almost every music store, and is distributed internationally. Harpestry is on Imaginary Road Records, a division of PolyGram Classics and Jazz, run by CEOs Will Ackerman and Dawn Atkinson.

Celtic Harpestry

Diana has been working this year (1998) with Dawn on a follow-up recording to Harpestry on Imaginary Road Records. It's called, Celtic Harpestry and features some of the finest players of the Celtic harp alive today. Dawn and Diana made trips to the British Isles to record many of the pieces on this album. Featured are the Belfast Harp Orchestra, Maire ni Chaisaigh, the Scottish female duo Sileas, and others.

A PBS Special on the Celtic Harp has followed from this recording. The one hour special will present the harpists from the recording and will be aired throughout 1998-1999. Keep an eye out for this exciting show.
